MacPherson MD Tartan is a vibrant green-based tartan with red overchecks. The home of the MacPhersons is Badenoch and claim to have been the early chiefs of Clan Chattan before that clan came under Mackintosh leadership. Ardent Royalists, the MacPhersons helped the Royal Stuarts during the Jacobite Risings of 1715 and 1745 and after the 1745 Rising, Cluny MacPherson was hiding on his estate for nine years.
