Ross Modern Hunting Tartan is a classic green-based tartan with shades of red. Taking their name from the Province of Ross and in the Highlands they are called Clan Andrias, or 'Children of Andrew' which derives from an early chief who is said to have been a devotee of St Andrew. Fearchar Mac an-t-sagairt, or 'son of the priest', of Applecross, is traditionally claimed as their ancestor. Sept matches include Rose & MacLeod of Raasay.
